1. Agreement to these terms

By accessing petmire.com (the "Site") or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy and Refund & Return Policy, which are part of these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

2. Who can use Petmire

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your state) and able to enter a binding contract. We currently sell to and ship within the United States.

3. What we offer

Petmire creates custom, AI-generated pet portraits and prints them on made-to-order products (and offers digital downloads). You upload a photo, choose a style and product, and preview and approve the artwork before you pay. Because each item is personalized and produced just for you after you approve it, orders are handled as described in our Refund & Return Policy.

4. Your photos and the rights you give us

You keep ownership of the photos you upload. By uploading a photo, you grant Petmire and its service providers a limited license to store, process, adapt, and use that photo and the artwork generated from it solely to provide the service — generating your preview, producing your order, and supporting it (for example, keeping a record of what you approved). You represent and warrant that you own or have permission to use every photo you upload, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights or violate any law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to upload, request, or attempt to create anything that:

• infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, or other rights;
• is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate;
• depicts a person without their consent; or
• attempts to abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Site or its generator.

We may refuse, cancel, or remove any order or content that violates these terms, and may limit or suspend access for misuse.

6. Orders, pricing, and payment

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars. We offer free U.S. shipping and any applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; by ordering, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method for the total shown. We may correct pricing errors, refuse or cancel an order (for example, if a product is unavailable or an order appears fraudulent), and will refund you if we cancel a paid order.

7. Made-to-order, refunds, and returns

Every item is personalized and made to order, and you approve the design before paying, so we don't accept change-of-mind returns. We will remake or refund items that arrive damaged, defective, misprinted, wrong, or lost in transit. Full details, timelines, and how to reach us are in our Refund & Return Policy.

8. Digital downloads

When you buy a digital file, we grant you a personal license to use and print the portrait of your own pet for personal, non-commercial use. Because digital files are delivered instantly and previewed first, all digital sales are final.

9. Intellectual property

The Site, our branding, text, and software are owned by Petmire and protected by law; you may not copy or reuse them without permission. The custom portrait created from your photo is yours to use for the product you ordered and for personal use, subject to these terms. The tools and technology we use to create it remain ours.

10. AI-generated results

Portraits are generated by AI and stylized, so results vary and are interpretations — not exact reproductions — of your photo, and depend heavily on the quality of the photo you upload. You preview the exact artwork for free before paying, so you always see the result first. The Site and its previews are provided "as is" and "as available."

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Petmire disclaims all warranties not expressly stated here, and will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order or the Site is limited to the amount you paid for the order at issue. Some states don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, or affects your statutory consumer-protection rights.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Petmire harmless from claims, damages, and costs arising from content you upload or from your violation of these terms or of any law or third-party right — including claims that a photo you uploaded infringed someone's rights.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the "last updated" date below will change. Your continued use of the Site means you accept the updated terms.
